Karl Lang who is a member of the association “friends of a naturally way of living” was the first who tested similar establishments in the Tyrol and Salzburg. Thereupon he decided to transfer this idea into the Mühlviertel.

The water within the basin which comprises 550 litres is heated up to 40 degrees indoor temperature and 95 per cent air humidity (therefore we kindly ask for reservation because of heat up time of 7 hours). There is a slatted frame above the basin on which the guest is embedded in a layer of hay. Hence nothings gets in the way of absolute enjoyment of the bather. By the discharged steam the hay is slowly heated up and thereby the active components are released. This components are transferred to the body over the air passages and the skin.
